Ok, this may be a dumb question but I found what I thought was a SKS Paratrooper at Cabelas.
I know they are shorter in overall length but something just didn't seem right about it so I took it into the gun cave at asked the "Cabelas Expert". He to was stumped.
I googled it and found contradicting answers. I ended up passing on it because I wasn't gonna pay $500 for a standard SKS but probably would have for the Paratrooper.
Is there an easy way to tell for sure?
Anybody

Im pretty sure all paratroopers are chinese made. Thats one tell tale sign. Also the barrels are all 16.5 inches.

Howdy! I have an SKS paratrooper, but before finding this forum, I really didn't know what I had. So I started a thread with questions and got a whole lot of info. Maybe this will help: http://www.texashuntingforum.com/forum/u...rts#Post2978944
No prayer in school....What's next, no thinking in church? It's not just about pie in the sky when you die. It's also about steak on your plate while you wait!
