Guys,

I purchased the Seekins Havak 300 Win Mag two weeks ago. Seekins guarantees .5 MOA. Earlier this week I found and purchased a real nice used Nightforce 5-25X56 SFP riflescope for it. I researched some load data for it and last night put together 8 different loads in .5 grain increments. Below is the load info along with a pic of the rifle and a pic of the target. It shoots A LOT better than my results although I was able to make three really good shots!

Nosler Brass
Nosler 200 Gr Partitions
Federal Primers
Hodgdon H-1000 powder starting at 76.0 grains

When shooting the rounds I fired one round from each load from 1-8 and then worked my way back 8-1 and then back again from 1-8.

Those Seekins Havaks have caught my eye. Seems like a very good rifle for the money.

Good info. Thanks for posting

I once drank muddy water out of a hoof print and was dang glad to get it.

Thanks guys! This rifle definitely lived up to its billing. It is a lot of fun to shoot! Although I bought it for an African plains game hunt I'm probably going to take it deer hunting s couple of times this year. I also want to work up a longrange load for it and take it out and stretch its legs. I think there's a fifteen hundred yard range not too awfully far from me and I think it'll be a hoot to see how it'll perform. Any recommendations for a LR round?

Sweet rifle & good shooting!

Did you get that scope off the THF? I saw one listed a few weeks ago and it was all I could do to not buy it. Seems like a very nice scope for the $ even though it's SFP.

Yep! It sure made a good scope for the rifle.
