Has anyone tried putting a suppressor on one of these? I have one that I purchased in 2012 and it has the normal 24” contour 2 barrel. Since the muzzle is so thin, I’m guessing I would need to have it cut down before threading. Just curios to see if anyone has done this already.
Thanks, Rich

You don't have to have it cut down. You just need to have the correct threading on the barrel that also works with your suppressor. Typically that would be a 9/16" threading, maybe less.
But thin barrels have a few issues. You WILL have a point of impact shift low shooting suppressed. If the rifle is unbedded, a lot of factory rifles have issues when you hang a weight on the end of a long thin barrel and put stress on the action and stock when unbedded.

I had my Weatherby Vanguard 308 threaded. It has the heavy 20" barrel on it. Also did a thin barrel Rem 700 7mm mag. Barely enough metal for a 5/8x24 thread on the Remington. Both shoot awesome suppressed.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.
