I'm always shopping guns. I have never seen so many guns for sale as I do now. And they are all over priced. Yes, I know, price it whatever you like. The market for guns is plummeting. I was on LONGRANGE HUNTING MAGAZINE forum, there are a ton of really high quality rifles for sale, sellers are asking what they paid for it and they just sit there
aint gonna happen, so if you are in the market for a gun, be patient, and don't be afraid to shoot a lower price. all the can say is no till they choke on their high priced guns.
its a buyers market
I just bought a new $900 S&W for $500 just 200 rounds fired. Be patient and make offers.

I agree. Just got a Savage 10 FCP-SR in 6.5 creedmoor for $350. Bought it for $500 and sold the B&C stock for $150. Going to be a Christmas present from my SIL to my brother, so that's good.
It's definitely a buyer's market, but I understand folks not wanting to give their guns away. If you bought high in the stock market, you aren't forced to sell when the market is down. If someone wants to list their prices high, so be it. I just move on. There have been folks asking stupid prices for guns for years now. They just aren't getting them anymore, and they'll eventually learn.

Yep...just offered a guy a fair, current market price, for his used Glock 17. Never heard back...I guess he really does not want to sell it.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

It's definitely a buyer's market. If you have been selective, though, you should be fairly insulated from price drops. ARs and recent mass-produced auto pistols are way down. 1982 S&W Model 29s and pre-64 Winchester Model 70s, not so much.

A lot of people sell because they have to and need money quick so you can sometimes get good deals from those. Some of us sell just because we want something different and don't need to sell but just like to flip guns. At some point it doesn't make sense to take a big loss on a gun and makes more sense to just keep it or wait long enough that someone will pay what you want.

There has been some yahoo at gunshows in my area that has some nice Pythons. He has them priced at guess what they are worth but they aren't selling! They are in 2500 range for 4" and 3k range for 6". Thats nall well and good, but shyster has put more miles on them than my 94 GMC work truck hauling them around Texas! Heard him one day shoveling his crapola to gent that he saw some in worse shape sell for more than his were marked. I told him guess you should have sold yours to him to! I have a 6" Python so guess I'm not in market for another. Will buy a Glock when they come out with a 40S$W in same frame as 42 and 43!
Brayden (Lazy L's Southern Comfort) you will be missed! You were more than a pet you were my reason to rise and return for many days! You were my rock! 12/26/03-10/25/13

Go to a gun show... all the guns will be marked at sky-high prices but they will find a web page/auction that proves the gun YOU are selling/trading is barely worth $100.

Unless someone lost their job or wife found out people generally don't need to drop prices on their used items.

Vegas just helped prices to go up! When these things happen, it just causes me to buy more ammo. The long term price of ammo never goes down.
