Tinkering with a Mark II to squeeze some accuracy out of it and stripped one of the action screws. Called customer service this morning, credit card in hand, and the lady said they'd ship it out, no charge! Just reaching them on the first call (and only on hold for a few seconds) makes them better than most! P_102

Sorry you stripped the threads but happy to hear they took care of your problem quickly. Would be interesting to know how quickly other companies responded.

From what I've read time and again, this is not a unique experience with Savage CS. Glad they got you fixed up.

I've had similar experiences with Savage customer service. I'm not one of these fan boys to choose sides in the age old Savage vs Remington debate, but their customer service is one big pro for Savage.

I bought a B-Mag when they first came out. The ejector in the bolt broke. I called Savage and they sent me a new gun and UPS label to send the old one back.

I broke a latch on my Plano rifle case. I emailed them and they sent me 4 new replacement latches at no cost and it was fast. I'll be loyal to them.

Savage does have some nice customer service, Burris does too. I lost/ left scope caps at the range one day. Called them to purchase a couple more to replace mine. I had them in about a week at no charge.
