Been looking at the Howa 1500 x's a Wby VG II to add to my mini collection...to replace one of the 270's probably in a 7Rmg & continue to narrow the reloading bench inventories.
Which one to buy/trade for is the ?? and why??
Since HOWA no longer builds a NIB Stainless rifle, I'll have to dig for one but I'm seeing enough of em' on GB to satisfy the itch....the trick is finding one that is not too beat up, and not being able to put hands on it before dinging the Credit Card.
Howa also would entail the cost of changing out the Spongy Hogue stock, un les I can find a factory composite I can live with.

Won an unfired Weatherby VG II SS 7Rmg on GB this afternoon at a little over a Ruger American price, so I've answered my own ??

I used a 7mag Weatherby a few years ago to shoot a mule deer up in Montana. It was a friends rifle and very accurate. I didn't really like the feel but no doubts on the results. It was a good shooter.
