I noticed Midway had the new 197gr Sierra Match Kings on sale so I added them to an order I was placing a week or so ago. Loaded up a few rounds by just reducing my Reloder 33 load with the 195 EOL Berger. Shot two rounds at 100 just to see if POI was different and it was slightly low but windage good and holes were touching! So I used the remaining 4 rounds on steel. I used the data already in my AB ballistic app for the 195 Berger and dialed .8 Mil for 350yds and centered the round plate. Too easy so went to 650 and it called for 2.7 Mil so I put that in and hit low so added one more click and put two in the bottom edge of the bull. The picture needs rotating to the right or if you lay down on your left side it's orientated correctly not sure how to correct that?

I love me some heavy 7mm bullets, going fast.
Great shooting.

Those things are just flat cheating in the wind, especially at 28 Nos speeds. Good stuff.
Are you going to pull those pistols, or whistle Dixie?

Jeff, Berger recommends a minimum of 1:8.3" twist for the 195 EOL. I went with a 1:8" twist barrel for my 7mm/300 Win Mag build. The 1:8" will give it a little more stability for the 1 mile + targets I want to play at. So far, the first outing at 1730 yards did really well.
When I've shot it at 940 yards across our lake at the deer lease, I was shocked at how little wind I held compared to my 308 and 300 WM we were also shooting. It is night and day difference from other rounds.
The G7 BC of .387 (.755 G1 BC) on the 195 Berger is so high, it will shoot flatter than some 375 Chey Tac rounds. The bullet is so freakin' awesome that I built a rifle just to shoot and play with this bullet. I'll be tipping these bullets for my next time out shooting it. It should gain another 3.5%-4% + increase in BC
