I finished my 3rd coat of satin clear on a factory savage stock last night. Went to go take a look and it now has a frosted look, in places that I'm not happy about. So what are my options? I was thinking of letting it cure another 24 hours and sanding with 800-3000 grit sand paper till I get it where I want, but don't want to ruin the protection on the paint job. Would y'all wet or dry sand?

I'd do a light sand with 800 dipping the sand paper into water and sanding lightly then get some very fine steel wool and do the same thing I've done this on wood and it leaves no scratches or marks

Thanks sapper! Even if it's that textured stone paint? By the way is that your post in duck hunting chat with that hand painted 870?
