Wasn't there widespread problem with semi auto .17 hmrs? I know I had one blow the chamber up and left me deaf in one ear for a week or so.

Only one made as far as I know is the new Savage A17. Might be wrong (probably lol). Buddy has one and loves it.

Volquartsen makes a high quality product. I'd imagine if it didn't work they wouldn't put their name on it.

I've still go my Remington 597, keep it clean and no problems. It's had to have had well over 1000 rds by now.
Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

Picked up the savage A17 a few months ago used. Fired about 100 rounds through it so far wnd really like it. I thought/think the A17 is ugly, but it functions great and dont regret the purchase.

Gunbroker has quite a few listed http://www.gunbroker.com/All/BI.aspx?Keywords=volquartsen+17+hmr LINK to their website Shark Precision LLC an Ray's are listed as dealers in Dallas I am happy with the Excel Arms one in the safe, but they no longer make them. Might could be persuaded to part with it though

I'm spending someone else's money Don't know if they any good personally but they are probably the largest custom semiauto rimfire manufacturer. Rays in Dallas use to have Volquartsen there. For best selection just go to gunbroker or google it. If not in stock can be a 4-6month wait. But just about Every model is available somewhere.
