Recently acquired a Tikka T3 Varmint in 22-250. I'm wanting to cut the barrel down to 20" and thread it for a Thunderbeast cb flash hider for an Ultra 7. Any recommendations on a gunsmith here in Houston to do this for me? Want quality work done. Appreciate the recommendations.

I'm moving down to Houston soon, but already found my future gunsmith. http://www.precisionbarrelwork.comHeard really good things about the work he does. Barrel threading may seem like no big deal, but I've heard of some smith's that don't do the threads right, next thing you know you've got a baffle strike!

What part of Houston? If you are on the south end of town, I would recommend Ed Vandenberg at Vandenberg Customs. He is in Webster off of highway 3. If you are closer to the north side, I would recommend Aaron Roberts at Roberts Precision Rifles.

Ranger Point is GTG! I had them thread a couple of Encore barrels for me as well as refinish and install sights on an FN Hi-Power. Great work.
