Anyone in the market for a suppressor? TBAC is running a 10% off msrp group buy right now. For example the 22TD I want is msrp @$395. My dealer has it for $370. But I still get the 10% off msrp for the group buy. $370(dealer$) - $39.50 (msrp disc) = $330.50, cant beat it for the best precision cans in the market.

I will wait to see if H.R.3799 Hearing Protection Act comes up and passes. Good deal on those.

If it does, everyone and their mom will be after the supressors. Just speculation but prices on quality cans will skyrocket due to demand and youll still be waiting months for one. Not due to form 4 but simple supply and demand. What really scares me is that if it passes every joe jim bob will become a supressor manufacturer and the market will get crazy flooded with some serious garbage.

I have an aac sdn6 and a 30cb9 already. I dont think money is really an issue why people dont buy suppressors, its only a $200 stamp. Its the wait, some people cant handle. I dont honestly understand why not. Once the tax stamp goes away the suppressors will go up substaintially in price so they can meet demand (more employees to process orders, mkre machines to keep up, etc). Those are just my fears

I think it's 50/50 money/hassle. You spend $400-600 on a rifle and then have to spend $800-1000 for a suppressor? That's a big pill to swallow, then you have to get the documentation together and wait 4-14 months? Ouch.

Sure, prices will skyrocket initially due to high demand but once production ramps up to meet demand, then prices will come back down. And when new manufacturers, like gun or barrel manufacturers, start producing suppressors, then there will be more competition driving prices lower.
Look at countries in Europe where you can walk into any gun store and buy a suppressor without any hassle at all. You however need a permit to own the gun to use with it. Anyway, in France for example, suppressor prices range from 20 Euros to 400 Euros for the top of the line. That's under US$600 for the best suppressor you can think of and you pick it up like buying a box of ammo at Walmart. Does anyone really think it cost $1800 to make some suppressors?

I personally havent seen any $1800 suppressors, the 338 uktra TBACS are around 1500. And yeah you can make anything thats cheap but you get what you pay for.

You can get what you pay for and TBAC suppressors are great. The Thunder Beast 338 Ultra MSRP is $1795. Are they $1700+$200 great? That's for you to decide.
If the Hearing Protection Act passes, then any suppressors bought after October 2015 will get their $200 tax stamp cost refunded.

I have the newest model 5CB can, and it's the best purchase I ever made. Didn't hurt accuracy one lil bit, suppresses great for it's small size, and hardly even noticeable at singe digit ounces and 5" long.

Buy with confidence.

I have a 30-P1, super solid. 300 is a bigger pill.(You'd have to shoot 200+Gr to really get the same value of a 185gr 7mm) Really depends on your game of choice. I'm a fan of High BC, pointy bullets.
