Whatever's cheap for plinking. Check gunbot or ammoseek.

55gr Xtreme FMJ bullets with 27gr Hodgdon CFE223.

All kidding aside. I have to provide for two sons that really like to run through some 223 ammo.

I played around with a few and found that my Rock River really likes the PMC 62 gr LAP. About as cheap as any of them and it holds about 1.25 MOA out to 600 yards.

For plinking I use Federal AR223 55 or 62 whatever your gun likes. Typically $38 for 100. Mine likes both. For hunting the good stuff comes out Barnes TSX 62gr in 556. $1 a bullet.

I have a thousand rounds of FMJ, but our range won't let you use them. bang

American Eagle in 55 and 62.
I reload for hunting purposes but I suspect the fmj would do the job on pigs.

It ain't easy being me.
