I'm using an SS 1-6X and love it! Clear sight picture as close as ten feet, and have hit steel with it at 400 yards to date.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

I have the SWFA 1-4x in LaRue SPR-E and really like it. It sits on top of my 16" 308 but thinking about changing it back.

I bought the Leupold 1-6 V-6
1. great glass
2. lightweight
3. reticle is not all cluttered up with hash marks, pyramids, dots, circles, etc. #4 ret with a nice bright green dot if I'm close and a precision crosshair for long range with illumination off.
4. Pricey but it fit my needs to the T

Not a fan of a scope on an SBR I prefer a red dot but if I had to go with a scope of put a SWFA 1-4 on it. I have one on my 16 inch 6.8 and have shot steel at 500 easily.

I use a Micro T1 on one of them and then a Vortex on another one. Red dots seem to fit the bill.

That is what I have on my AR10 in 7mm08. I like the 1x6 power due to crappy eyes and it is very clear. It has the lighted reticle but rarely ever use it.
