This is a quick picture I took at the range this afternoon of my 6.8 SBR, newly-minted 10/22 SBR, and SiCo Hybrid. I just got the stamp for my 10/22 on Monday, and the Hybrid is one my dealer let me shoot, so I knew that I had to run out there and try them both out. The 10/22 performed flawlessly, and the Hybrid was a real pleasure to shoot. Since I know most people haven’t gotten to handle a Hybrid yet, I figured I’d give my take on it. Once I have some time and all of my hosts are in order, I’ll make a full video about the suppressor.

Overall, it’s a well-performing suppressor. For the $800 I paid, I’m very happy. I only got to try it on the 6.8 today, but I’ll throw it on my 5.56, and 6.5 before long, and then load up some 9mm subs. The weight and length are great, pretty comparable to the Omega. The tone is great, and the suppression was surprisingly good for my 6.8. I’m sure with the 7.62 endcap it would get even better.

But that’s where I start to have problems with the Hybrid. It comes only with a 5/8x24 direct thread mount and a .46” endcap. If you want to put it on other guns you’ll need to buy mounts for other thread pitches, or buy an ASR adapter for it. It’s around $100 to make it direct thread for another thread pitch. So if you want to run it on your 5.56 bolt gun, that’s another $100 on top of the $800. If you want to do QD, it’s around $130 for the ASR mount, then $70 for each brake you want. To run it on a pistol, you’ll need to buy a booster for each thread pitch at around $65 each. And then if you want the best suppression, you’ll need to buy appropriate endcaps for each caliber at like $75 each. Basically, to get mine fully setup for my 5.56 SBR, 6.8 SBR, Glock, and 6.5CM, I’m looking at a load of money.

Suppressor- $800
Stamp- $200
3 Brakes- $210
1/2x28 piston- $65
ASR mount- $125
3 endcaps- $225

So that’s like $1700 for one suppressor to be used on all my reasonable hosts. Now that’s with every possible accessory to make my life easier and have the suppressor perform at its best. You can get by with less by forgoing the ASR mount, endcaps and such, but I’m a fool with my money.

Is it worth it? It really depends on your intended uses. I want to run it on a pistol for funsies, and be able to use it on basically anything I’ll buy in the next 50 years or so, so the Hybrid is perfect for me. I won’t have to buy another can for my pistol and pay for another tax stamp, so it’s actually cheaper for me.

But if you can’t see yourself building a .458 socom SBR anytime soon or wanting to suppress your handgun it’s probably best just to get an Omega and be done with it.

I would change your unit of measure...while it is a favorite of mine along with others they tend to frown on it here.

Sounds like a good suppressor and well worth the money...as long as you plan to use it on rifles 308 or smaller and use direct threading.

The bolded piece is really the key here. That alone will save you several hundred dollars with this suppressor. A user on another forum said that he's just getting thread adapters for all of his rifles and running it as direct thread, and I think that's an awesome idea. $20 for a 1/2x28 to 5/8x24 adapter, and you're able to throw it on your bolt gun trainer.

But if you're planning to do QD and never want to use it on a pistol or big bore, the Omega is the way to go. It's lighter, shorter, cheaper in the long run, and will probably perform better out of the box.

You listed some extra costs but with the process for obtaining a suppressor already being a PITA and time consuming, honestly having those options is exactly what some want. Sure it is extra costs but think of how much it would be otherwise to buy suppressors to cover everything you need otherwise? I say it is a win.

I absolutely agree. For me, it's a great fit because I'm going to use it on everything from .22s up to a 45-70 and .45acp at some point. It saves me $450+$200 for another pistol only can (and whatever accessories that will need), and gives me the ability to run it on whatever I want.

My only point is that it's a really steep investment to start off with, and without the need to run it on a big bore or pistol, you'd be better served to go with another suppressor.

I think as long as you're not using it on a 10" 45-70, it'll be totally fine. After all, I'm running it on a 6.8 that is 4" shorter than the recommended barrel length for it.

And the 10/22 is a blast. After doing my first mag dumps with it last week, it's worth every penny I spent. Can't wait until I get a suppressor for it.
