Looking into a having an NFA trust set up and seems to be a common recommendation of using the settlor's last name in the trust name. I understand it can be named anything. My question pertains to privacy. Are there privacy concerns with the trust name? Specifically, is there a valid privacy concern to not use my last name?
Thanks - Mickey

If you use the Internet, there is no privacy, it simply is a term that applied to all pre-Internet agreements which were hard copy and processed manually, in America, by Americans....

You can name it whatever you want. If you ever do an sbr then you have to have your lower engraved...engravers charge buy the letter, so I used my initials instead of a name. Something that actually appears stupid because I've not done an sbr but I tend to over think simple stuff

I just named mine "[Initials] Trust." Easy peasy, and cheap to engrave.
Unless you want randoms at the range to know your last name, there's really no reason not to use your last name. You don't have to show trust paperwork to anyone other than the ATF, and they already know your internet history, voting record, and anti-government leanings. I'd say letting them know your last name should be the last of your worries.

I used the dog's name for my NFA Trust. It doesn't matter what name you choose, just remember that you will have to live with that name choice for the rest of your life. I heard there was one person who named theirs "In God We Trust". Thought that was pretty cleaver.
As for engraving the SBR, I had mine done but there's some debate whether it's really required when you build the rifle or only when you sell the rifle.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.
