I just bought an Armalite AR-10 and it has the front sight base - does anybody know of a forearm that has a space for a rifle length gas system or do I need to ditch the front sight post and just go with a Mlok or rail setup?

Have liked the front sight post for a long time and like having a standard sight .....could always add a nice fold down but still like the accuracy for the standard sight

What do you guys think

I think any rifle length should allow you to use the front sight. If not, just buy another gas block and put your sight on the end of the barrel up

The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

You sure it's not a mid-length gas system? The only one I saw on their site is the 16" barrel version.

If you want to keep the FSB you'll have to go with a drop in handguard like one from Magpul.
