Hey guys need a little advice.

I was just loading a round in the chamber of my 45 compact and it locked up about 1 cm short and seems to be stuck

any advice on how to proceed?

Don't know much about those...can you push it out with a #2 pencil (eraser first) down the barrel?

Was that another of the Buffalo Bore rounds? If so call them first thing tomorrow and have them explain why your having a problem with their ammo.

I've had the same problem twice before; once with a Colt AR-15 and once with a Colt Combat Elite .45. On the AR the problem was the gun was way too dirty, and so the casing got stuck inside the chamber before full battery due to fouling. On the .45, I was shooting reloads from the range I was at and one particular casing bulged out where the bullet was seated. In either case, a rubber mallet did the trick. Just aim the gun in a safe direction, finger off the trigger, get a good grip, and strike the mallet on a good spot to get out of battery. Don't worry so much about the gun. The brass and mallet should both be softer than steel so they shouldn't hurt anything, and as for the finish, if it does hurt anything, it's probably still better than having a live round stuck in the chamber when you don't want it there.

Have fun, be safe.
