So i have one that doesnt feed reliably. I have cleaned it extremely well, and lightly lubed and reassembled. alot of folks have told me to buy a new action spring, magazine tube spring, and new fancy alluminum follower. they said it really helps. any thoughts? my 1187 is NOT the magnum. it has been a dove shell eater for years until recently.

How is it failing to be clear? Not ejecting, not feeding forward?

Check your magazine spring. If it's weak it may not be sending the second round back with enough force to trip the carrier release. If that happens the gun thinks it's empty. Also, if your follower isn't moving freely it may need to be replaced.

Even if that's not the problem right now, it will be the problem in the future. They are cheap, go ahead and buy it. I don't know about needing 25 of them. But a package of 3 will last for 10 years or so.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.
