Hunting and long range, mainly 200-700 yards. Want something as light as possible since I'll be spot and stalk hunting with it as well as shooting at a range.

Harris and atlas seem the be the 2 best on the market. They are pricey but have great reputations. I'm not sure on their respective weights. That being said I bought a Caldwell from academy last year and I'm very happy with it. I'm not sure what I would gain by upgrading.

Harris 6-9" make sure you get the swivel model with leg notches.

Harris, Atlas and Sinclair.

Atlas gets my vote. Switched to one from a Harris BRM-S and the Atlas is a huge improvement to me.

Really to be happy you need two the Harris BR model swivel notched for bench and Harris 13-27 for hunting
And for the price of one atlas you can have both Harris bipods
The BR/ 6-9 model is terrible for hunting but the best on the range or bench
No matter which model you choose it has to be able to swivel

Dang those spikes look nasty killer. I guess if you ever get charged and can't get a shot off you can use them for a bayonet.

Harris 6-9" BRM-S Been abusing one for five years without a breakdown. Heck it's got rust on it! Also purchased an Atlas last year. I'm pretty sure I like the Harris better. Be sure to get a Pod Loc for the swivel nut so you wont need pliers to tighten it. For hunting in terrain that does not afford prone, learn how to use your pack and / or fixed objects around you. Another recommendation for Harris w/ a Larue mount.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.
