I'll never know which is the better stock because McMillan shuffled me to voicemail today and manners quickly won me over with excellent customer service.

I like both stocks. I have owned both but and currently only 3 manners. Tom over at manners is great and they are much faster getting you a stock.

Tom makes a hell of a stock. Great cs too. To be fair, I've never shot a McMillan before.

Which model did you go with?

I vote manners. Tom and crew support the community big time and will do anything to help someone out.

I have owned a t2, and shot a t4 and t5. T6 is what I like the most, the butt of a t2, and a narrower fore end. The mcst is a great stock for hunting and some long range. Im not a fan of the t5, thumb holes are a no go, you shouldn't wrap your hand around the grip like that. My right thumb stays on the right side of the action.

T4. Had to get dimensions from weichel today on the barrel and they are going to inlet one of their ready to ship stocks that had the T3 lite channel.

I started with a t4a and then moved to a t2A and really like it but I think my next with be the t6a elite fill.

I have been interested in a T6 or T6a for a while. Would you say they are the MCS equivalent to the McM A3? I want to build a medium weight rifle with a Rem varmint contour barrel and have been thinking the T6 might be a good fit.

Scott weichel built rifle on a t4. Sounds just like what I did 5 or 6 years ago.

Mcmillan for the stock having character if you get a custom swirl, there speckle paint jobs are boring like spider web paint jobs
Mcmillan has recently moved some people around and hopefully lead time quickens up.

Havent got a Manners yet but all the ones Ive played with lean heavily towards tactical shooters. The hunters I didn't like something about but its a personal opinion.

Both are top notch and expensive

Qyality and durablility are equal. My first stock of this type was a McMilla A-5. It's now sold. But I do have three Manners T-4s in the herd. I am about to call and order one of the new MCS-EH1 for a friend's new 300 Win Mag build. That's a 24-26 ounce stock.

Who gives a crap about swirls and colors and blah blah blah. That's what paint is for. Go before show. And Manners customer service is great! And they consistently support rifle matches with 50% off gift certs, that's how I got two of mine.

That's a good take for getting 69th of 71. I bet you were like dang I got 69 and shot real bad today but I got a coupon juggle

Since we're on the subject is the manners elite fill which is 100% carbon fiber worth the extra $$. Manners rep said they perform exactly the same but the elite fill is lighter.

The elite fill is well worth the money and last I heard they are around 16 weeks wait or so.

That's awesome. They never have exactly what I want in stock so I always order it. But I still think the elite fill is well worth the money drops a lb of weight or more depending on the model. My next with be the elite fill
