Just ordered an Advanced Armament 16-inch MPW rifle in 300 Blackout for $1000 shipped to me. Figure thats a pretty dang good price for a quality rifle that comes standard with Magpul grip and stock, a KA URX III rail, and a Giesselle SSA trigger.

Whats the general opinion of these rifles? I'm planning on using this as my sole hog hunting rifle and expect to put a can on her by the end of the year.

I have the AAC upper on a PSA lower with SSA trigger. It has functioned perfectly and the fit and finish is excellent.

Well I got it in. Gotta agree with OKStatefan, rifle is gorgeous and I am very impressed. Couple of pics of the box the rifle was shipped in and after I got her setup.

Thanks guys.

Yeah, I've never been a big fan of the CTR. Saw the MFT and decided to give it a try and so far I'm very happy with it. Also replaced the Magpul grip with a BCM Mod 1 which I absolutely love.

Still undecided tho if I should stick with the 1-4 Vortex or go with a nice red dot. Planning on running suppressed in the future and this will be primarily my hog gun.

I have a VXR 1.25-4 on my CZ527 and it's great, but not really any different than the Vortex he has on the rifle now.

Great price on that rifle. You usually can't even get the AAC 16" complete upper for that price.

It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

Went and put 20rds of Barnes Vor-tx at the ranch today to zero in and test function. Went bang everytime and shot quite nicely. My last 3 are right on the money. This was at 110yds w/a Vortex 1-4.

Very nice. I was planning to shoot my 300 today, but UPS has lost my ammo shipment.

I won one of these uppers earlier this year at a 3-gun match. I love mine. It shoots the 110 Barnes into sub minute groups all day long. One thing I will tell you is that I almost destroyed the weapon trying to get that damn brake off the muzzle. After trying EVERYTHING I read online including, soaking in break free, boiling in hot water, action vice, strap wrenches, etc.. I eventually ended up using a blowtorch, pipe wrench and bench vice to break the thing loose. I destroyed the brake and the barrel is a bit scarred from the pipe wrench but I did finally manage to get it off. I only shoot it suppressed and it is pretty darn quiet.
