Just purchased a Colt 1860 Army replica from Pietta. Overall, the revolver is well made for the price, but it needed some work. I refitted and refinished the grips, which to my surprise were figured walnut; timed parts correctly, and polished the internals. I wish my modern guns had a trigger this nice. It came packed in some cosmoline type material, and I had to break it down completely to clean it all off and oil appropriately.

I made a bag to tote around my powder flask, balls, caps, and etc.

I am going to go pickup some leather to make a Texas Ranger inspired gun belt for it, which will include this nice bowie knife my lovely gf gave me.

Thanks yall. If I enjoy shooting this one as much as I think, a brace of Navy revolvers is going to be in my future.

It's beautiful, Colt...almost too purty to shoot!

.454 round balls. Eventually, I would like to make some paper cartridges with some conicals.
