Bought a Chiappa Double Badger combo gun in .22 mag and .410 last week. I've never had any previous experience with this particular gun maker before, but heard good things about them, so I thought I'd give them a try.
First time out, first shot fired through the gun, which happened to be a .410 shell, the fore stock broke away from the barrel. I'm standing there with a piece of my gun in both hands. Would have been funny if I wasn't so pissed off! The weld that connects the two had snapped clean off. So back to Ohio for warranty repairs it goes.
They told me repair turnaround time is 10-12 weeks!
Anybody else with Chiappa experiences?

I try to stay away from budget firearms because things like this tend to happen. However, I did just order a Pietta percussion revolver.

Turn around should be a lot less. That's been our experience.

I was looking for a .22/.410 combo to carry around in the truck on the home place, and the Savage model really didn't do much for me. Wanted something solid, attractive, and not a synthetic stock. Couldn't find anything except the Chiappa. I liked the way it looked, and it came in a .22 mag, and at $325.00, thought it was reasonable.
The dealer I dealt with said that they rated right up there with Ruger on the .22 end of things. We'll see how the customer service goes.

sorry to hear that....The Chiappa XCaliber and Little Badger in .17 hmr have both caught my eye, but I might wait and see some performance reviews before I buy one of their rifles.
