Looking for a 16 or 18" barrel. Can anybody offer input to those four brands?

I'd like a light, easy to handle AR for pig hunting. I have an A3 style 20" AR in 5.56 already.

I've heard only great things about AR Performance barrels in 6.8.

Ironworks builds uppers with those barrels, I'm not sure you could do better in that price range: http://shop.ironworkstactical.com/6_8_SPC_II_p/aoi-68-16s.htm

Thanks I'll check them out.

Hoping to get something that would shoot at 1" or better at 100-I'd like to have confidence in putting it into a pigs ear at a reasonable distance. Not looking to buy right away but I like to do my window shopping far in advance.

PSA has a 16" upper w/out bolt and charging handle for $419. I'd like to stay on that end of the price spectrum if they perform well.

I don't think the psa bundle saves you much of anything? add 150 for the BCG and CH (minimum), plus the forend is not free floating on the PSA vs the Alpha on the IW (another 150) and the PSA is already more expensive.

Plus there's this: "All Ironworks Tactical Complete Uppers are guaranteed SUB MOA" you'll get no such promise from psa.

The ARP barrel is the one to get for 6.8. My choice would be to have one built with a ARP barrel, then Bison Armory then PSA.

ARP would be first choice with WIlson Combat a very close second.
