Ate there last Friday before my dove shoot. Lots of hype and not much return.

Strip steak med rare was properly cooked but not any better than any other place. Had the Green chili hominy, meh. Cornmeal Bisquit's, meh. DRY. House salad was very good with their signature ranch dressing. Quail appetizer was Meh.

Original Coors in bottles were nice and cold.

Our dining area was VERY warm. AC hard to cool that old barn of a restaurant.

tourist trap although at 5:00pm there were mostly old residents and families.

pass on returning.

I ate there back in March, no chance I'd go when it's hot outside. I'd go back for the cheeseburger if I was in the area.

Sorry to hear this. I haven't been there, and might never go.

Been there once, I'll never go back. Food was mediocre, prices were too high for what you get.

Should have ben there before a/c. It was miserable one July 4. I’d say it’s a fall, winter place.

This assessment isn't too off base. It is better than Beehive, IMO.

The Sunday brunch is worth going as is Friday night catfish. Other than that...I can cook a better steak at home.

I liken Perini's to Joe T Garcia's in Fort Worth; its the atmosphere and tradition versus food quality, but there are some DIE HARD loyalists that say it is the best place to eat on the planet (newsflash - neither are).

Did someone say SMOKED tenderloin? OMG. May have to re-evaluate.
I'd love to talk to Tom about early-day Buffalo Gap. My great-grandparents were married there in September of 1880.

Good stuff right here. Serve at room temperature with thin slices - somewhat akin to a super flavorful and well rec'd soft jerky.

Yep my Niece and Nephew send us 2 every Christmas. We love them at room temperature with horseradish.

I love that place but will admit I’ve never been in the summer. If I’m ordering a steak, it wouldn’t be a strip steak that’s for sure

I need to order a hunk of the smoked tenderloin. Looks like great football watching fare.
