I picked this up last week after looking for a few months. 2021 F350 Longbed with 45k miles. Plans are to build a tricked out bed and front bumper, with lights all over that sucker for when we’re chasing cows. We will get to the bumper first in a couple weeks.

It’s been demoted to a shop truck. 235k miles and we’ve got a 4th kid coming this summer, can’t cram them all into it. She still cleans up nicely though

Shots fired! bolt

The new one looks almost exactly like my 2019 XLT I sold, except mine had the Premium package and the 6.2 gasser. Looking forward to seeing the build. up

15 week update - got the windows tinted and replaced the tires with some toyos after I jammed a mesquite thorn through a sidewall. If this truck doesn’t look any different before 2024 I won’t be surprised one bit

I’m also extremely impressed with the durability of the front air dam. Not as impressed with the factory nerd bars

You know, if you don't like that air dam, you can always cut it down, or buy the 2wd or Tremor versions which are short and shortest, respectively. I just installed the 2wd version on my 23-- it looks perfect, and gives me more ground clearance. I think the Tremor valence looks too short. You'll have to remove the Prius catchers with either option.

No aluminum parts bc they have no business being on anything other than a toyota. I did fab up some running boards. 1.5” 3/16” wall square tubing with 1/8” diamond plate inserts. I mounted them to both the body mounts and the punch welds unlike most of the aftermarket ones, it ought to be able to teeter totter on them.

[Linked Image]

For the bumper, I gave up on building my own since I don’t have the time and the ones from STO are almost exactly what I would want anyways. So, I had them build me this one in raw steel. I cut out some more holes for flush mount cubes on the outside of the bumper, and cut in a license plate mount. I also added two receivers to mount some tow hooks and also for a custom rack we’ll build later. It’s all at the powdercoat shop now

I like that. You also found a way to point out the 4 reasons ford sucks so badly and make it prevalent.

Looks good but what is the purpose or benefit of leaving the crossbars open in the middle of the bumper guard?

It is great workmanship, people are just joking around about the rest (mostly).

It’s left open for the trucks with adaptive cruise and also just for looks. My gut told me it was a weak spot at first, but that [censored] ain’t bending. 1 7/8” OD pipe saddled into each other, all sch40.

I’m no die hard ford guy. The dodge before my 2015 ford made me a lot of money but cost me 3.5 transmissions. The L5P duramax I hauled stuff with was pretty gutless compared to the powerstrokes, so I’m gonna stick with them until they give me a reason not to. The dodge was almost in the discussion but I chickened out, I haven’t healed from the last one yet but I do hear they are a good bit more reliable than they used to be.

Bottom line is they all suck, pick your poison
