   Took this bull Sunday morning with the 180 Eldm at 602 yards. Bull was broadside and the bullet entered the rear lung and was found under skin on opposite side. Bull took a step backward and fell. Shot specs are below. 28 nosler 3109 FPS MV 602 yards 2475 FPS impact velocity 2450 ft lb 2 mph head wind

 Nice! I got nearly identical performance last year on a cow elk with the ELD-M. 7-08 162 ELD-M 2660 MV ~300 yd shot, recovered in off side hide, elk dropped * I give up on trying to post pics on this site. My bullet looks just like yours.

So far I have zero evidence to convince me to quit using the ELD-X. They fly where I want them, and they do their job upon impact.

Looks like it did alright.
Would be interesting to know how much it weighs. Also what it would look like had the shot only been 150 yards or hit a shoulder.

Looks like it did alright.
Would be interesting to know how much it weighs. Also what it would look like had the shot only been 150 yards or hit a shoulder. Good job on that shot! I'm also wandering what it would look like at 3500 MV and closer range.

Those full pics look better than the thumbnails I uploaded first from the phone, have internet back and got the full size images to load from the PC. Looks like Scdogman is having some fun this week. Little birdy told me he also has a mule deer with his Daughters 6.5 Creedmoor

Took the mule deer with thev143 eldx at 281 shoot to distance. Ran 30 yards and piled up.
Had a guy in camp shoot a mule deer that went 200 yards with a double lung shot. The shot was 113 yards with all copper.

Very nice! Shooting 225 eldm out of my 300, hope to put them to the test on something this year. I've taken several deer with the 225 BTHP, and it was devastating on the does I shot. Massive wound channel exits. 2802 fps muzzle. The 300 WM with the 225 grain bullets makes them deader!

Curious as to where you hunted. I'm planning an elk hunt for next year, really like the idea of llamas for the pack.
