I did my trust with 2 beneficiaries but now i wished it was just me due to the processing time. I can remove them at any time though and may end up doing it later down the road. It just allows them to be in possession of the can without me being present. All of the beneficiaries are CHL holders so I had hoped it would help but they still have to go thru the same background check. It looks like my wait time is right at 8 months. Bought thru a SilencerShop kiosk at Modern Outfitters in Dallas and was told it would speed things up. Apparently the gun shop didn't sign a form and it has delayed me 2 months. Beneficiaries do not go through a background check and can not possess the NFA items without you present. Beneficiaries are the heirs to the trust. They are not and can not be trustees.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

They are not and can not be trustees. ?? My 20 & 18 yr old's are trustees on my trust. Photos, fingerprints, and back ground checks were done on both of them of course. Either one of them can be in possession without me being present, copy of stamp & trust goes with. My 20 yr old is a trustee and the beneficiary of my trust. and yes it took forever, 1 1/2 yrs actually to get my stamp after if was kicked back twice for errors on the paperwork (my gun shop had just started doing them).

They told me it takes quite a bit longer if you do a Trust. I'm no expert as I have only purchased two, but I don't believe that statement is accurate. Did both of mine via trust and they didn't seem to take any longer than anyone else. My first one seems like it was 8-9 months, second one a bit longer, but that was due to the new rules going into effect last July and everyone rushing in.

Some are getting caught up in backgrounds and more people mean more chance of getting stuck
