I was in the process of mapping the legal hunt zone for all of the different areas of the DCNF and I see that one of the DCNF areas has the Trinity County Airport in it. Anyone know if there are special rules concerning the hunting distance from the airport? I can't find anything on it so for the time being I just set my mapping to keep 150 yards away from it. It appears the entire area there is about 2100 acres available for hunting - so I wouldn't personally be anywhere around the airport but I like my maps having an accurate legal hunt zone mapped. Something about guns around airports seems worth asking about LOL.

The Big Slough area of the DCNF looks very promising. Anyone here ever hunt that area or know how many hunters flock that way?

The Topo maps of the area make it look like an awesome hunting area. Have any luck when you hunted it?
