What do y’all use for a range finder? Or is it necessary? I have been looking but really don’t know what to buy. It will mainly be used bow hunting but occasionally I may use it rifle hunting coyotes as well.
Also, what is the difference between a $150 one and $600 one. I would prefer to spend as little as possible.

How far are you wanting to range?
Never been to a camping world. I prefer Dick's to be honest.

No more than 400. Most of the time it will be within 60 yards for bow hunting.

I don’t shoot LR either. I like my Sig 1250 just fine. It’s pretty economical.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

I like my Nikon. I think I paid $149 about 7 or 8 years ago.

Vortex had the best warranty.... I’m not looking up every range finder so....
Sig did not make a range finder several years ago (or at least I was not aware of one) when I bought mine.
I wanted a Leupold but the warranty sucked.
Never been to a camping world. I prefer Dick's to be honest.

I don’t shoot LR either. I like my Sig 1250 just fine. It’s pretty economical. I have the Sig kilo 2000 and it is the best one I have had so far, think they now have a 2500, not sure tho. love the small form factor as well and hits out there better than the few others I have had, very reliable.

My old rangefinder cost me a very large Mulie because it blinded me. Nothing like a 6 hour stalk to be blown because rangefinder brightness was set to high

I never realized how valuable a rangefinder was until I took a shot at a big elk. Thought it was a lot farther than it actually was. I then received a Leica. This is an old one that is large and bulky. It is nice but I don't like carrying it and binoculars.
I am a golfer and recently got a Nikon rangefinder. It is light and easy to use. It has plenty of range to it and I plan on using it when hunting from now on. I haven't found any faults in it except that my swing hasn't improved.
