I went out with the Usual Suspect, a buddy with whom I had hunted as far back as High School (I'm now retired). There are some deer hunters on the property this year, and we get along 'cuz all we go after is hogs. They check our cameras, and if something interesting along the lines of virginianus texanus shows up they're welcome to it. They reported that a hog was coming to one of their feeders morning and evening, so we set out a little before sundown and it appeared like clockwork. It showed up, and then it went straight down! My buddy anchored it with a shoulder shot. We put a tape measure around it behind the front legs and it indicated a weight of about 160Lbs.

Later that evening we observed a hog crossing a pasture. We were just in the right place at the right time. The opposite could be said for the hog. The video picks up right after we've identified it. This hog also taped at 160Lbs. We went back out the next night to the same area and managed to shoot a coyote that found the hog carcass. Note the difference in video quality from the first day to the second. It rained the second day and everything had cooled to near the same temperature. The background is very washed out and overall the detail is just much worse.

I'm suggesting you get a scale, looks a little light, not trying to be critical.

You sound a little like me...The older I get the more I like hunting hogs and just watching the deer.

Hah! Like I'm gonna drag 'em in and lift 'em up? roflmao
I'm good with the tape measure thing, it's close enough for government work.
