Was in loading some ammo and thought this quality control check might be of interest to others. This is my last step after loading pistol ammo on a progressive press before it goes into the box. This process is very quick and helps prevent a double charge of powder or a missing charge, which would cause a squib. The video was made on the phone, so apologies for the shakiness and not great audio quality. I really sound like John Wayne and look like Clint Eastwood. Anyway, hope this helps someone avoid being bitten by a kaboom.

Good video. Never thought about zeroing it before weighing
I once drank muddy water out of a hoof print and was dang glad to get it.

Very helpful, thanks for posting. It would be useful to check rifle ammo and even ammo loaded single stage as well. I'll have to sort the rounds by brass manufacture then do this some day when I'm bored. I have a couple thousand rounds of 9MM reloads that need this.

The process is actually goes fairly quickly. I typically load a few hundred, then check them as a mental break.
I caught a squib one time and it convinced me of the value of the effort.
You're welcome.

I have done the exact same thing.
I also zero an empty case to spot check the powder throw every so often.
Jeff,
Thanks for taking the time to post this.
It is so easy to think that everyone already does what we do.
