I got drawn for Government Canyon SNA near Helotes Texas. Has anybody been there? What should I expect to shoot buck wise? What are the population on pigs exotics? Did you stay at campgrounds or rough it in town?

I've been there many times on hikes and mountain bike rides, but not for a hunt. I put in on this one myself and didn't get drawn.
Govt Canyon is really more or less a suburb of San Antonio now. The city has expanded up to it's front gates. However there's plenty of acreage to get lost in.

I have heard that there are some very nice racked bucks on the area. I would definitely be excited to hunt there. Just ask the staff that is running the hunt
which deer blinds have been fed with corn recently. Try and get a stand that has been fed and where the most deer have been seen.
