Nothing for me again this year. Texas public hunting really is a joke, 0-30 last two years.

I'm having a great year. I got USFS Antlerless Deer Permit - Bannister WMA last month and today I got E-Postcard Feral Hog - Gus Engeling WMA and Feral Hog - Matador WMA. Still got a few pending second draw but I'm not holding my breath on those.


Drew three hunts in a season back in 2012, then didn't get squat for years. Hope my good luck this year doesn't lead to a repeat of that cycle.

All pending second draw for me. I can't complain. I was drawn for 3 hunts this year. I just hope my hunt at Richland Creek next week isn't cancelled due to flooding.

I guess i cant complain too bad because i did get picked to go the chapparall for javalina. Although i could give a rats [censored] about javalina i am excited to go to the chap and get some experience on how things work for when i do get picked for a big deer hunt

It probably will be canceled. Hate to break it to you but I think alot of hunts will be canceled again this year

Well, no luck for any of us in either group or individual draws. Pending 2nd Draw for everything (that's like saying congrats for being the first loser).... Can't complain too much tho, as we got that GDE permit at Matador earlier and we are excited for the chance to come down.

I'm afraid that you are right. I talked to a gentleman at the WMA over the phone. He said that they will make the final decision tomorrow about lunch time, but it ain't looking good. They are flooded pretty good and expected to get worse. Bummer.

Everything today pending 2nd Draw. My sons and I did get Balcones NWR and Aransas NWR and I got Anterless permit for Sam Houston.

I got two E-postcard squirrel hunts.

Nothing wrong with hunting flying rats - that was the first thing I ever hunted and killed. Back in the day when it was okay to hunt the little buggers with a .22LR

Pending second draws, that's ok by me as I did well in earlier draws. Would have liked to draw a youth hunt for my kids though. Points for next year!

I drew e-postcard feral hogs at Copper Breaks SP in Feb. Says shotguns with slugs is the only means allowed, so I guess a new slug gun is in my future.
