I pre-ordered a LH Nucleus action back in January, and it finally arrived on Friday. I will say it was worth the wait,it's a nice action as well as the Barloc barrel nut retaining system that American Rifle Co.invented. So,I've had plenty of time to decide on what I wanted to put together, and decided to go with a 22 Creedmoor for a nice little high speed varmint/hog gun. Parts list is - ARC Nucleus LH SA receiver with .473" bolt head and 30 MOA rail ARC Barloc quick change barrel device X-Caliber 20" 1-7 twist 5R barrel threaded KRG Bravo chassis with a LH Whiskey 3 backbone - I modified the outer shell for the LH action. TriggerTech LH Diamond trigger ARC M10 34mm scope rings Revic PMR 428 scope Here's a couple pics of the Barloc device, you can install & remove the barrel without using a barrel vice or action wrench. Now I just have to find time to load up some ammo, and see what it will do!

Nice looking rifle. I couldn't pay for that tripod so I'm pretty sure I couldn't pay for the rifle. But I am curious what head you used on the tripod. Look forward to the range results.

Very nice rig.
Just studied up on the barloc device. I really like their instructions in the pdf that if your bolt will close on the no-go gauge stop what you are doing and find someone who knows what theyre doing.

That is one sweet rig! How hard was it to modify the Bravo to accept the lefty action? Can you give me detailed instructions on that process?
Haha yea I polished that thing for hours.

Why 20in on barrel? I have seen most at either 16 or 22-24

Very nice rig, can't wait to hear how it shoots. What does it weigh all rigged out? I'm very curious too & would love to learn more about the tripod/head & mount arrangement. TIA

It looks like the Alamo four star mount. They are now called ZRO Delta based in Lubbock

Nice rig. How much do you have tied up in the complete package?

The tripod head is from ZRO Delta. Of all the different styles of tripod heads made to support rifles,I like it the best. It is expensive, but most of my rifles already have,or have mounting options for a picatinny rail on them. This unit moves smooth as butter, and you can lock the rifle in any position you like. It is very well made. https://zrodelta.com/product/dclw-head-s/The new tripod that it is on is a Benro Mach 3 TMA37AL. It's an aluminum tripod,I just can't justify the added price of the carbon fiber just to save a few ounces of weight. This tripod will support 35 lbs,and only weighs 5 lbs. With the head unit on the tripod,it weighs around 6.5 lbs. The KRG Bravo stock was easy to modify once I found someone at KRG that would let it happen. I have a LH Whiskey 3 chassis, and found out that all of KRG's Remington 700 style chassis use the same aluminum backbone in them,so I just ordered a Bravo chassis with the LH Whiskey 3 backbone in it. It cost an extra $50 for the backbone, but once I got it,I just marked the inside of the outer plastic shell and cut it out with a milling bit in my dremel tool. The right side bolt cut out is covered up by the backbone. What does it weigh? It wasn't too heavy until I mounted that boat anchor of a scope on it. It's a toad with that scope. With the suppressor attached, and a loaded magazine,it will be pushing 15 ibs. Why a 20" barrel? Because I'll still get nice velocities/performance from the cartridge, and it isn't too long to maneuver in tight spaces with a suppressor mounted on it.

I wasnt looking at the chassis until I handled one on a Howa. I didnt like how much the plastic covering on the forearm moved around and seemed to be warped where it meets the plastic at the trigger guard. Have you noticed any of this?

I am very curious to see if you have a repeatable zero after taking the barrel on and off with the Barloc.

I've being really looking into the Bravo stock for a future Tikka build. Also, I found out there are prefit barrel nut systems for Tikka rifles that are apparently getting very good results, not to mention cost savings.
Did you run into any issues with fitting the barrel nut system onto your Bravo stock?
Btw, your rifle looks freakin awesome. I too am curious about how it all works out for you in terms of accuracy.

The fore end shouldn't move at all. There are 8 screws that it bolts to the chassis with. The lines where the front & back halves meet doesn't line up perfectly, but then again you're buying an entry level chassis. You want it perfect, spend $1k on one like the Whiskey 3 chassis.

Yea, think when they installed the chassis they didn't put the screws into the forend. Ask me how I know??? LOL. I did the same thing on my XRay and after shooting it a few times my forend started sliding forward and I never noticed it. I even cut my foam in my pelican with the forearm slid forward. Was shooting in East Tx and the forearm completely collapsed after a shot. Slid it back on and it still ran fine, got home from the lease and looked in my KRG box and sure enough there was all the screws I had missed. It is rock solid now, just wish KRG could put some kind of tension on the two "wings" that come back over the magwell. I've noticed it moves a tad when you're inserting a mag if you're crooked. But like you said, it is a $500-$600 chassis. Still love my XRay. Great looking rifle, that scope looks LEGIT! LOL. You can see in this photo how far forward the forend had slid. Now i have a 2" gap in my foam after putting in the screws LMAO oh well live and learn. Need to recut a new foam anyway.

Crews, I don't intend on swapping barrels on the action until I shoot out the barrel. The way the recoil lug indexes off the scope rail just makes it easier to install the barrel on this action.
Korean Redneck, The Barloc is the same diameter as the action, so it will clear most stocks & chassis systems.

Made it to the range again to do some testing today with the 22 Creedmoor and the 6.8 SPC II AR that I built a while back. The first range trip wasn't good for the 22 CM,but I didn't think the shorter barrel would perform well trying to make Reloader 26 work in it. I got some really crazy SD/ES #'s with the 20" barrel. I got great velocities with it,but the groups weren't very good. So,back to the ole reliable H4350,and I found a great load with it today! I even got better velocity than I thought it would make with this powder and barrel length. 43.2 grains in necked down virgin Starline 6mm CM brass using CCI 450 primers topped off with a Hornady 75 gr A-Max bullet seated .010" off the lands at 2.665" COAL. 5 shots at 100 yards = .179" group. Velocity was 3400 fps. Now I can load up some and start learning how this scope works with all of it's electronics.

On click to the right. Already adjusted it before I shot the next test group. It's good to go!
