I bought the Vanguard synthetic stock 308 for $249 this evening in the Brownwood location.
They have both the synthetic ($249.00) and the wood stocks for $349.00. These are very well made rifles and you cannot go wrong buying one. Or 2

Yes, they are not a compact gun for sure. The stock has a thick forearm, and the 24-inch barrel is thicker than other barrels of the same length. Still, the weight makes them easier to steady when taking aim. Even with an inexpensive shooting stick, I can drive tacks with mine.

I just picked a synthetic stocked 243 up on impulse. Don’t really need it, I could be talked out if it if anyone wants one. This was the last one at my local WM

Took out the trigger guage and measured my new wally world Weatherby. Small amount of take up and very clean breaks that averaged
3 & 1/2 lbs. Nice trigger.

Yes, it's a two-stage trigger design which is supposed to improve shooter accuracy.

None left out this way. I bought up all I could since I sold them to Walmart to begin with a knew what they paid.
I donate about 10 Guns a year to local charities and youth associations. These things are going to save me a ton of money.

I picked one up today in .270. I need another rifle like I need a hole in my head, but I just couldn't pass that kind of deal up.
