Dad bought a new very nice fiberglass blind last year. He has issues with wing cold due to the chemo, he was in a jacket today in the sun . In order to keep him warm we use a Buddy Heater, and I works perfect, but uses a bunch o those little bottles. We have 2 RV propane tanks that we would like to use in place of the 1lb bottles. Here’s the problem. We don’t want the propane tank inside the blind, and the blind has a porch to put the tank, and we als don’t want a hold in the blind wall. Is there any kind of fixture that can be put in the wall and will seal off well enough that wasp won’t get in?

https://www.amazon.com/DozyAnt-Propane-N...uick+connect+rvYou're going to have to drill a hole I'm afraid, you can use a neoprene washer in front of a metal washer on both sides of the wall in between the fitting to seal the hole.

drill a hole thru the wall or floor for routing copper (or flex) tubing, then seal with caulk or expanding foam.
use flexible tubing and run thru open window, disconnect when not in use and leave flex tubing inside blind.

I thought about this and looked at a bunch of different options for myself this past fall. Same thing, nice new fiberglass blind, absolutely hate the Coleman can thing with my Buddy heater. Ultimately I ended up with the tank in the blind with me.
I'll think about it again this fall and actually do something, I'll come up through the floor in the far corner from where the heater will most likely be with a bulkhead/low pressure quick disconnect. If I get lazy, which is a real possibility, I'll just get a plain bulkhead fitting and fasten to the floor upside down (flat as possible inside), cut the big propane fitting off, run the hose through from the inside and then put the two pieces together, outside. That way, there's nothing non-factory inside the blind.

Don’t be afraid to put the 20 lb bottle in the blind with you. Better outside for several reasons but inside with proper plumbing and care will be fine.

Guessing it has windows that slide up...cut a piece of plywood that will fit at the bottom of the window and drill the hole in that...run the hose through there. Then you can remove it and close it up tight when not in the blind.
Or you can get an adapter to fill those little bottles off of a regular propane tank...instead of buying a bunch of those bottles. Just refill them.

I had the same problem, I bought a small natural gas bathroom heater changed it over to propane and plumbed in a line to the ground for a 5 gallon tank.

I have the same heater as Dogcatcher in my 5x7 blind with a 20lb tank inside the blind. I've been using this setup for a couple of years now. Just be sure to keep a window open to allow fresh air into the blind.

I’ve been hearing my cave with these for years. Old Dearborn heaters are hard to beat.

I have blown the doors and windows off with those and almost died from falling asleep.. Not worth it Even with windows open it sucks the oxygen out

This is what I use on my heater in my blind. I also use it on my small tailgater propane grill. This hose is long. Just put the tank on outside, run hose inside, connect to heater. Done. 20 bucks!

I have the hose. I just want a way that I can route it through the fiberglass wall that’s bug tite. Don’t want to have to run the hose through the window or door and create gaps.

I love those little bathroom heaters! Can warm one of those little foil trays of cinnamon roles on them in no time for breakfast. Or warm a ham and cheese on toast wrapped in foil in the evening. That keeps me in the stand longer. Thru-hull nipple nutted tight on both sides of the wall with a male quick-connect inside and outside, keep the little plastic caps, female quick connects on the hose to the bottle and the hose to the heater. I use male/male on the stand because they're easier to clean and handle the weather and debris better than the female couplings.

About the holes in blinds. Google "Enclosue hole seal" drill hole size for gas line, once you leave blind remove line plug hole, return remove plug attach line.

You can also cut the hole large enough to install a rubber grommet, in the wall, cut the hose and then re-attach on the other side of the wall.
