Please help me. Our lease landowner has a field where he planted wheat. The wheat crop did not make, due to the drought, so his insurance paid off on the failed crop. The little bit of wheat that did come up is still standing with sunflowers and other trash mixed in. the landowner has not yet plowed the failed crop under.
Can I legally hunt doves in the field?

Yes, even if he plowed it under. You can plant and manipulate for dove.
I'm with GK because I like salty old dudes.

Totally illegal, you can't do it, unless you invite me along.

Yes you can but be careful. If you want to knock the wheat and sunflowers down remember that you have to wait 10 days after you manipulate the crop/field before you can hunt over it.

Some of the best dove hunting I've ever had have been on fields just like this. Yep... I hunted a 'storm damaged' wheat field 2 years ago and it was amazing.
