All Gold Ring rings dealers are required to abide by Leupold's UPP. This means that all Leupold dealers will have the same price online.

Interesting. The same model leupold scopes are all over the place in pricing on ebay. The one I'm wanting ranged in price from $473-$629. I missed out on a 15% offer yesterday on ebay and really regretting it.. Guess I'm stuck with a vortex.

I bought mine from Bass Pro a few months ago. If you check online you will see them have a sale quite often. I saved $175

May be true. I got a great deal on a VX-5 HD from Optics Planet. It was on sale, $100 less than what I had been seeing at other retailers. Others may have had it on sale at the same time as well, but the incentive from Optics Planet had me at $100 free gift card to be used on anything they had. I used it on a Harris bipod. Free shipping sealed the deal. I guess the $100 free gift card with purchase of this scope was their way of beating the manufacturers pricing rules.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

eBay is a market that is not under the umbrella of Leupold. Anyone can sell nearly anything that they want on eBay.
As I said, Leupold Gold Ring Dealers are required to follow specific guidelines on pricing until instructed otherwise by Leupold and Stevens.

I received an email in late July about Leupold changing their distribution strategy.

Watch out on eBay. There have been some counterfeit Leupolds on there.

Yeah, I'm a little afraid of Ebay. I hear optics planets takes forever to ship. Didnt think it would be this tough to find a legit seller with great prices.

Hasn't been my experience at all with Optics Planet. See my post above. Midway USA has been good for me also.

I searched online for a long time and did quite a bit of research before buying my Leupolds….hands down the best price was on Gunbroker. I saved several hundred dollars buying there from an online retailer, not an individual. Scopelist also had good prices and they were negotiable when I called them.

JoeBob's has some pretty good sales on Leupolds and so does Natchez.

CDNN, Natchez, and Gun Broker are all good sites. As long as you stay away from EBay, Craigslist, etc you can find a solid deal.

They do, 2 weeks to ship a effn scope mount. If you do buy from them they have a discount code...try "DIRECTBUY12" when you check out. Saved me a few bucks.

I would check some of the forums like sniper hide to see what deals are being run. I bought a mark 5 Leopoldo but got some good stuff as freebies

I'll never buy from Optics Planet again. Tried one time - they said everything was in stock, I waited weeks with no package at home, finally called and they said some $5 item was out of stock so they held up the rest of my $600 order. I told them to cancel the whole thing and bought somewhere else.

Most manufacturers have gone to the MAP thing where they're only able to advertise at one price. So you're just not gonna find variation online. They do this to keep the mom & pop stores in business so the big volume online places can't run them out of business. Whether you agree with that policy or not is a different story, but that's how they do it.

I’ve had similar experiences and no longer consider them

I'm not sure about pricing but I am sure about who I've received the best customer service from on every transaction.

Camera Land inc / member name gr8fuldoug here.

Any Military on this thread looking for the best deal on Leupold send me a PM and I will get you in the right direction. Don’t want to see someone lose out on huge savings like I recently did.

I can’t stand Optics Planet. I’ve had excellent experiences with Camera Land, B&H Photo, SWFA and Adorama. Camera Land is always my first choice because of Doug and Neil. I like SWFA a lot if I can talk to Skylar.

Same experience with optics planet as others. They sold me a product they didn’t even have. No it wasn’t marked backorder or otherwise. After a few weeks I was able to get my money refunded.

Excellent experiences at SWFA. Although I’ve never bought online I can say in store they have the patience for my learning curve. Over several years I would say I’ve spent $10,000 with them. They haven’t gave me a reason to shop elsewhere.

I tend to be an extremely loyal customer. When I started buying from Camera Land I’d never heard of SWFA or this site. If I’d purchased from SWFA first the roles would probably be reversed and SWFA would be my first choice. I guess what I’m trying to say is SWFA is an excellent company.
