I’ve got a 300blkout with a 10.5” barrel for hog hunting. Max shot is going to be 120 yards. I’ve been looking at the 1-6, 1-8, and the 2-10. I’m trying to stay away from a red dot just cause I’m not a fan of them. So looking for quick target acquisition but still want to be able to shoot a good plinking at 100 yards so I’m wanting some magnification. Looking in the $500 range and there’s a few options out there so looking for first hand experience

IMO the only optic that looks good on an SBR or Pistol is a red dot or prism type sight. The are small and compact and work well out to the distance you want to shoot. There are lots of options.

Do they make a prism sight that has adjustable reticle?? I’ve looked through a few and hat how big the reticle is for shooting further out. It’ll end up with a suppressor so at that point I’ll put a 15” rail on it with the suppressor recessed in the rail so it’ll “look” like a standard ar at that point

I have several SBR's....on my .223 AR I have a 2-7x Leupold VXR, on my daytime 300 BO I have a 3-9x VXR.

Sounds like in your case the 2-7x would be a great choice.

I have (had) a Leupold 1x4x20 Pig Plex on my 300 bo. Very quick on target for brush hunting, no problem 200 yd plus and actually gathers light very well at dusk and dawn. It is a compact scope with good glass. I sold my BO to a buddy that wanted it so I kept the scope and the Burris PEPR mount which makes for a nice combo. I had it on my 6.8 also and now it is ready for a new adventure. Just put together a 224 Valkyrie but using a Vortex 4x12x44 on it, it's ok for a cheap scope.

SBR or pistol is irons or a red dot in my opinion, but if you're dead set on a scope.
