I got burned out on it a long time ago. Gizmo, gimmick, horn porn, and high dollar overload got me.

A lot of folks love it though as it’s still going strong.

Last time I went to the one in San Antonio my credit card number was lifted.

I have a customer that wants to go every year, it was okay the first 5 or 6 times. I can't stand to go any more, I need a few years break. I finally had to use the "too many honey dos to do."

I used to go as it was good for average Joe hunter. Now it's more geared to large ranch, paid hunts and gimmick vendors. But I usually still go to take a stroll through and look for ideas of how to myself upgrade/build feeder/stands etc. Usually don't buy anthing last several years. Used to buy cover scents, doe in heat, supplies but rarely find any vendors with that stuff anymore.

If you have nothing else to do you might enjoy it.

I have been to many of them. It signals that deer season is around the corner. I see lots of cool new stuff and I enjoy the heck out of it

thats why I go, kind of kicks off the season. We'll see, wish I had a helicopter to drop me off and take me home. Uber is too much $$. I have a handicap tag so I can get kinda close.

I got back home from the show about midnight last night. I saw thousands of great folks and everyone seemed to be "upbeat" and spending money though I was not selling anything. I was there with the Pursuit Channel and trying to educate the new PURSUITUPTV app that is FREE of charge and allows you to watch many of the episodes on the channel.
See you in Ft. Worth this weekend.
Adios,
Gary

That's when I see all of my old hunting buddies I haven't seen in a year. We stand around and drink beer listening to each others stories. Good fun...………..

Temps are forecast for 88 and 86 this weekend at our lease. If that holds up, we'll be dropping about 3 pallets of corn into feeders and topping off protein where needed. Anytime you get a temp with an 8 as the first number in August, you better take advantage of it.

Y'all knock yourselves out. Talking to one of my lease mates yesterday, with his DIY elk hunting in CO with another lease mate, we're talkin' fixin'/filling feeders on opening weekend. roflmao This will be a laid back season. (And maybe, the best so far on this lease.)

One year we didn’t put corn in the feeders until the first week in December.

Had a good time at the ranch anyways

Deer leases are as much an escape as anything, that’s good for the soul

It's like going to the fair. Same stuff every year. Some people like it and some get tired of it.

Never been to one. I used to sell memberships to a hunting club at the Dallas boat show for a couple of years. I'd get a buddy to fill in at my booth while I caught trout and drank beer every evening. Got my fill of that over time. I will not be attending.
