The wife and I have been to Green’s many times, but never got the boudin. Our new neighbors brought us some this afternoon. Oh, my Lord that’s good stuff. I really don’t think I’ve ever had better.

Now I need to get back to Green’s.

Their chicken fajitas are likely some of the best I have ever had. I have been thinking of dropping off a deer there to be processed this fall.

I had a deer processed there a few years ago, but they're kind of out of the way now. For the basic cut they're right in line with most of the processors around here, but once you start adding smoked this and smoked that it adds up in a hurry. They did a very nice clean basic cut for me. My sister drives by there twice a day. I may have to have her pick up some boudin for me some time. Thanks for the heads up, didn't know they made it there.

Zabcikville is where Green’s is located, and it is east of Temple. Definitely worth a trip.

Not to hijack, but in the name of sharing, if you're driving to Green's from Temple, you can keep going straight (after picking up your boudin from Green's!) on old 53. When you come to a big sweeping curve to the left towards Westphalia (it used to be called Dead Man's Curve until they widened it) there's a big Catholic Church and cemetery on the left. Keep going straight towards Burlington, don't take the curve, and on the right you'll find the Cyclone Corral. Good BBQ. Bring a group and order the family style. Brisket, sausage, ribs, and all the sides. If you run out of anything just ask and they'll bring more. Only open May through September. They serve beer.
