2018-2019 Lease a German Shorthaired Pointer for Quail Hunting

Owning a gun dog is a large commitment of time, resources, and money. It is simply not for everyone. What if you had an opportunity to limit your commitment, time, and resources every year? Have you considered leasing a fully trained bird dog by the week, month, or season in 2018-2019? I am currently exploring this option and would like to talk to you if you are interested.

The lessee will be required meet before the season, get to know the owner/dog, and ultimately sign a leasing agreement prior to delivery.

She is a fully trained bird dog and has had several years of experience hunting wild and released birds. She will point and hold birds, back to sight, and retrieve. I can provide pictures and testimonials upon request. Prior to the lease, a showing of the dog can be planned, in order for you to see firsthand the level of training. All food and supplied will be supplied to the client.

A $3,000 refundable deposit will be required on the dog and will need to be paid prior to or at the time of delivery. This deposit is refundable if the terms and conditions stated in leasing agreement are met. All lease monies are payable in full prior to or at the time your lease dog picked up.

LEASE RATES:

Week: $750 per week
Month: $1,500 per month
Season: $4000 per season

I have a slight interest as my current dog is now blind. That deposit and terms and conditions is what scares me. I would look into using a guide with their dog if I do some quail hunting this season. The prices do look on par for what I have seen from other kennels.

Nothing wrong with what you're doing but I would get attached to the dog

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE
