I'm so ready. Not seeing a lot of birds on our place just north of Katy, but as is often the case, they mysteriously show up on opening day. They have noticeably picked up in my front yard...........under my bird feeder.

Scouted for dove and teal, bought hunting licenses, cleaned and oiled 3 shotguns, washed and organized teal decoys, broke out the dove mojos and verified they work, cleaned cooler…think I am just about ready.

With my 4 uncles we shot 159 mallards in the morning and evening.
