I caught her in the act. I’d been wondering how the birds could be snarfing up the seed that fast. Looked out the front window just now and a doe, who had just finished eating corn at the yard feeder, walked straight to the hanging bird feeder and started bumping it around with her nose. She was munching seed direct from the deeper and then eating what she had spilled. Irritating...

Yes there’s not a good solution that comes to mind for that. At least until November rolls around. smile

Wait maybe there is: hang it out of her reach?

A doe raised on bird seed are extremely tender compared to corn raised doe.

Same thing is happening out here as well. Been so dry that the forbs are all brown and dying.

My feeders hang 5 ft off the ground. They stand on there back legs and lick seed out of my bird feeders.

I started using Milo seed, $9.00 at weed store, Mix with 5# thistle seed.

I use scratch grains and mix it with a milo/whole corn. I feed corn away from the yard to keep the deer out of the yard.
