Good spring rains and weather has brought forth a nice crop of game this year.
Unfortunately, when you have a good year for game, you also have a good year for varmints and vermin.
The squirrels have been hitting my feeders and fruit trees pretty hard so I broke out the squirrel pole.
I put it at my deer feeder by my stock tank first.
Once in place, I check it 4-5 times a day.
I left it at the feeder for 4 days and caught 17 squirrels and my feral barn cats ate well and were happy.
I moved it up to my pear tree in yard and have caught 6 more in two days.
If you have a problem with squirrels, you should try this!
Here is a link to the video I found on youtube that tells you how to do it.
It's simple, I tried it and it works - almost too well!
I have a single pole using a 8' 2x4 with 2 conibears and get these results.
If you had a squirrel plague, you could thin the herd pretty quickly with more poles/traps.
The hardest thing about it is removing them from the traps.
