I’m going to try Lawrys in Chicago next week when I’m up there. Heard it was great. I’ve never had a steak better anywhere than I can cook at home with my beef. That's a chain prime rib place. Same as the one in Dallas. Go to Gibson's Steakhouse. This. Gibson's is fantastic. Best you'll eat.

Hmmmm...I ate at Ruth's Chris and Eddy V's in Austin back to back nights, and Eddy V's wiped the floor with Ruth's Chris. Best eat out steak I've ever had.
edited to add: I know they're known for their seafood, but that steak I had there was friggin' awesome.

Around here we have Bob's, Fleming's, Kirby's, and Perry's. Maudeen's Center-cut Filet at Saltgrass is also a good steak, but the atmosphere there is down-scale from those other places.

Beehive in Albany serves up a great steak. I've had one or 2 there and they are legit!
