Do they allow y’all to fish out there off the platform after finishing a shift. I assume no but but that would be a pretty awesome job perk if the did On most deep water rigs no, but on this one yes we can. The managers are the coolest I've ever worked for on this one, just don't do anything stupid LOL. We catch mainly sharks and tuna here, with occasional mahi. Had a tournament recently and a boat pulled an 800 or so lb marlin off of us. Always cool to watch the show.... That’s awesome. You must not work for one of the majors. Anything that even has a 1% chance of resulting in a safety incident they Nix.

Hopefully nobody screws it up for them.

Some of the best ones I've ever seen I couldn't get a picture of. Can't have your phone on deck (normally). Be busy working on something early morning or in the evening, look up and whoh...that's a good one lol. Wish I could get a pic of that!

I bet some of the best ones are when the sunsets when on the water. I have always seen the best ones when hunting and few when taking an evening ride around a ranch. If have a camera, I am getting a pic or two or 100

Have see some beautiful sights out here over the years, but can seldom get a pic when I want to. Out here in the middle of nowhere, and out in the woods watching/listening to the world come alive I feel closer to God. Good gosh, that's like a payday bonus. Excellent photograph.
