Shot this young boar last night about an hour before sundown just north of Nocona. He was with another, larger hog. Glad I didn't shoot that one. It was hard enough getting this one skinned and cut up before dark.

Here's the bullet. It entered the left shoulder, passed through the chest, and lodged in the right shoulder. I found it in the sink when I was cutting the shoulder up. It's a 55 gr. Sierra Game King. Mushroomed perfectly, and did its job well.

Good job. Buddy got one SW of Nocona yesterday before dark. Walked up to feeder and it was coming in at same time. Finally got hogs back.

I wish we had fewer hogs. I'm seeing lots of them on the game camera a and few deer.

Nice going. I always like it when the hogs show up in daylight.

The hogs seem to show up a lot between 9 to 10 am and around 2-3pm when I'm not there. they will usually show up about an hour before sunset if the hunting pressure has been low.

Great shot and details.

What type of rifle are you using? Very interesting to see 55gr do that damage from the shoulder shot

AR-15 in .223 with 16 inch barrel. I'm convinced it's the construction of the bullet. Shot a couple of hogs and al deer with a 55 gr of lighter construction and didn't have results as good. Not surprising, considering that most are for varmints.
