 Now I just need my 7 mag back from the shop, work up a new load for those 180 ELD-M, and I'll be ready to back up to 1 mile...maybe. Savage 116 action Shilen Stainless Select Match in 7 Rem Mag 26 inch 8 twist Rifle Basix trigger set at 1.5 lbs Boyds Varmint Stock (that I already had), bedded of course Nightforce 20 MOA base Seekins 34mm Rings Nightforce ATACR 180 gr Horndady ELD-M @ +/- 2900 fps (I hope) A whole bunch of Retumbo
Silver spurs and gold tequila
keep me hanging on.
Pretty girls and old cantinas
give me shelter from the storm.

Nice, I have been fighting the urge to rebarrel my 116 7mm mag from a 9.5 twist to an 8 twist. I’m shooting the 180s at 2841 with h1000 with around 67 grains. I don’t think 2900 FPS will be a problem.
I walked the 180s out to 1000 yards with the 9.5 twist.

I got it for the MOAR-T reticle. I really like the smaller lines for long range target shooting. It would be nice if Nightforce did that in a Mil scope, but as far as I know they don't.
